I Love Santa Claus!

Once upon a time, there was a lovely frog that was named Sarah. She had a family, but she lost it. She learned how to do everything herself, but only one day she heard a 'ribbit' and it was one of her friends and she said, "Can I live with you?"

Her friend said, "Yes. Why don't you have a family?"

"I don't know, I just lost them."

Her friend invited her into her house and she heard another 'ribbit' but it was just her dad coming home. One day she heard six 'ribbits' but it was just her mom and her brother and her sister AND her mom.

The end.

I wonder what I'm going to get for Christmas. I think I'm going to get a talking dolly-pony or a bear maker.

I think Santa is going to hide something under my pillow or right by my bed. I know Santa is fat and that he jokes and that he "ho ho hos". I know he lives in the North Pole and that he has a wife. I think his wife is really nice.

Merry Christmas everyone, I love you!

I Love You Grandma and Bridger!

Sorry, Bridger and Grandma Lee. I forgot about my blog and I love you still. But, sometimes I have a hard time getting my blog on. I'm sorry I didn't blog.

I'm wondering what I'll get for Christmas.

Once upon a time there was this little bird that lost his family and he was only a little baby egg. He learned how to fly and he learned to hop and find food himself. One day he heard a "tweet tweet" but it was just a different bird; a woodpecker. One day he heard a bee, but it was just a yellowjack. One day he heard a "peck peck peck" on a tree or on a bush and then it was just a woodpecker on a tree or tree branch. Then he heard some flapping, but it was just a butterfly. Then all of the sudden he heard three tweets and it was his sister and his mom and dad.

I made up that story. Whew, that's a pretty long post, isn't it?

Oh, it was my Daddy's Birthday so here is a picture of it.

I Love Santa...and my brother

I love my Mom and Dad because they are so fun.  My Mom looks like an angel and my Dad looks like a prince.  And most of all my Mom looks like a Queen and my Dad looks like a King.  I look like the little princess and my brother looks like a prince.

I went to a Pony Party at Tyra's.  I loved her Pony Party and we were trying to trap the boys.  I loved it because it was so fun.  I wonder when I'm going to go to her house again someday.

I wonder what I'm going to get for Christmas and I love Tyra, too.  She looks like and angel on a star.  I want a teddy bear machine and it comes with fluff and eyes.  You make your own bear and their clothes.

Griffin: I want bear clothes!

I Love My Mom and Dad

I love life because it's perfect.  I had fun today.  I had so, so, so much fun today because I went to school and learned about Thanksgiving and all kinds of stuff.

I love my Mom 'cause she's the greatest Mom of my whole life and of the whole world.  I love my Dad because he tickles me a lot. I love my Dad because he types my blog.  I love my brother.  Sometimes I don't like it because he pulls my hair and stuff and he really bugs me and steps on me and steps on my face and stomps.  I hate it when he does that and I tell my Mom.

I'm going to go on a performance.  I love my next door neighbor because she teaches me  a lot of times and I like her.  She teaches me dance.

I Love My Piano Teacher and My Brother

When you are piano lessons, you sit up straight and you keep your feet down (you don't cross your feet).  You put your fingers like, put 'em apart like you're throwing a ball and put 'em on the piano and keep 'em straight out.  You put your thumb down and that will be C.

I love piano lessons and I love Griffin and he's my best brother ever, in the whole wide world.  He's the funniest brother in the whole wide world.

I Love School and Disneyland!

I went to school this day and I learned about the five sences.  It was fun.  The next day we learned about pumpkins and stuff and Halloween.  I went home and hanged up my backpack.  I always, always, always get presents, like penny and fish rocks.  Also, I give rocks and stuff to Brendan and Carson.

I went to Disneyland and it was really fun!  I saw Belle dancing with the Beast.  I saw Lion King, Little Mermaid and Urula but she was really, really big. Good thing she was plastic.  I was about to say "hi", but good thing I wasn't going to say "hi".

My favorite ride was Star Wars.  We getted to go in a pretend space ship and it was really, really fun.

I Had Fun at Singing Time

Singing Sami with Leaves I went to school and I had singing time.  We singed songs.  I sang about pumpkins and witches and all kinds of goulish creatures, like black cats and ghosts and skeletons, too.  And clowns and witches, they all say boo!  We sang a pumpkin song.  One little, two little, three little pumpkins.  Sitting on a gate.  The first one said, "Oh my, it's getting late."  The second one said, "There's witches in the air."  The third one said, "But we don't care."  The fourth one said, "I'm ready for some fun."

I Love My Grandmas

My Grandma Lee came today and both of my Grandma and Grandpa came and my aunt and uncle came and we had fun together. Tomorrow we're going to sleep and then my Grandma Lee is going to come in the morning. I love her and she's my best Grandma and I love my Grandma Stokes and I love everybody in this world. I love her and she is special to me. I love her so much. I love her so much that I could just kiss her on the cheek...or the lips. I love how she dresses and I love how tells stories. She told the Herman the Worm story. It goes like this:

One day Herman had a Mom and a Dad and a sister and a brother, just like you. And when he got old enough he getted to go to school.

So the first day of school Herman's teacher said, "Why are you so skinny?"

And then the next day he came to school he was a little bit fatter.

His teacher said "You're a little bit fatter, how did you get so fat?"

"I ate my sister"

"You ate your sister?!? You naughty, naughty, naughty worm?"

The next day he came to school and he was a little bit fatter and he could barely fit through the door.

His teacher said, "Why are you so fat, Herman?"

"I ate my brother"

The next deay he came to school he could barely fit through the door.

His teacher said, "How did you get so fat so fast?"

"I ate my mother"

"You ate your mother?!?! You naughty, naughty, naughty worm!!"

The next day he came to school he couldn't fit through the door. So he came to the window. His teacher looked out the window and he was even fatter.

He said, "I ate my Daddy."

"You ate your daddy? You naughty, naughty, naugty worm!! You're never going to come to school again."

The next day he came to school he was skinny again.

His teacher said "Why are you so skinny?"

"I burped."

It's a Small World After All

I'm excited to go to Disneyland because it has all kind of rides; Pooh Friends...I can't say all of it because it's a lot of rides.  I want to ride them all in one day.

And then, I totally want to go to the beach because it's so fun.  It's going to be a really long drive so I'm not sure I...I wish we could walk there.  It would be fun if I could ride my scooter the whole way or rided my bike.   But, you can see your favorite princesses.  One of my favorite princesses are Jasmine and Cinderella!  When she gets married to her Prince, I love her.

My Dad has yellow and green eyes.

Me and My Mom Cried Together

I had fun with Griffin today.  His shirt is on backward.  Actually, his shirt is inside out and backward.

Me and my Mom

My mom dropped me off at school and I was going in all by myself.  But I forgot where reading time was and then I thought it was down the stairs but it didn't look just like before.

Only my Mom knows where reading time is.  When we go we sit in the back just hanging out.

When I ran out I cried because I didn't know which way to go and my Mom was almost going.  I went outside as fast as I could and she was starting to drive away and it was scary.  Me and my mom cried together and it was kind of crazy at first, but my mom was crying with me because she was about to leave.  It was scary.  So scary.  If she leaved and I was too late, I would wait for reading time to be done.  But I still went to school.

I Loved Going to the Oktoberfest!

Sami and Griff at the Oktoberfest

I went to this tram today and it was really fun. That picture...that old man and that young lady...that's me and Griffin. I love how Griffin is looking because it cracks me up. It's funny when my leg is up and my other leg is down. Me and Griffin are holding hands; it's realy, really, really, really funny.

We goed to the Tram ride. It was really, really, really, really, really fun. We saw two little squirrels. I saw mountains and dandylions all around. There were horn players that I didn't really want to go and get my picture taken with because I was scared.

[Dad's Note: The kids and I went to the Oktoberfest at Snowbird today. The German food wasn't anywhere near as good as what you can get at Sigfried's downtown. But the kids participated in musical chairs and had fun trying the chicken dance.

At the top of the mountain (11,000 ft) it was quite a bit colder. There were some Alpine Horn players at the top. I tried to get Sami to get a picture taken with them. She was so cold that she just shutdown, even though I planned ahead and brought their jackets. But the scenery at the top was great. Just a tad early for fall colors. There was a little bit, but not enough. Samantha also got a cute face painting that she got a lot of comments on.]

I Love School!

Sami's First Day of Kindergarten

I went to Griffin's class today.  We played with playdough.  We had exciting stuff; toys and bubbles and all kinds of things.  I love Griffin's nursery.

My school is so, so fun.  Kindergarten, I mean.  I didn't get my card turned over so I was realy, really good...today.  I was really good on the second day and today.  On one day I was talking and that's why I got my card turned over.  I felt sad and not happy.

My teacher is so, so, so n-n-n-n-nice.  Her name is Ms Moore.  Like smore-more...more-smore.  Someone got their card turned over because they didn't listen.  My favorite thing at school is working hard and I got a sticker before.

I Love Your New Clothes That You Bought For Me, Grandma Lee!

I played with my friends.  I goed to a PTA meeting at my next door neighbors.  Me and Kaylee played "baby" and they didn't let me sleep on the ground, because they're like "It's morning time!"  I was like, "I didn't even sleep.  Go back to bed right now.  It's not time to wake up!"

These boys had these little guns and I don't know why.  They were spraying water at us and then it finaly, finally dried.  It was crazy.

Grandma Lee guess what?  I got some cute, cute clothes from you and they're awesome.  And I can't wait until I go to school for the school party tomorrow.

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting until my school time.  And guess what?  It was a long, long time before that.  I was a little baby and then I goed to pre-school and then to pre-school and now to Kindergarten and I'm going to have a party tomorrow!  I can't wait!

I can't wait 'til it is because it's so exciting to have a school party.  I can't wait until they say "Hello, welcome to our new school."  Because I'm a new, new girl that hasn't been there for months.

Griffin says: I goed to Dawn's house and I played with Kaylee and she didn't let me have the baby doll.  I blowed the whistle in the house.  Can I talk about lady bugs?  I like lady bugs.  I saw a lady bug in the grass and it goed in the grass.  I like lady bugs!

I Tested My Own Letters

I know 52 letters, and that's really, really a lot.  I'm getting gooder and gooder. I took a test because I had to go to Kindergarten.  I never goed to Kindergarten before and I don't know my teacher.

(speaking in her best British accent) "I sound like a lady who is so mad."

Sister Chevalier is Nice - Fun and Nice - Fnice

I went on a little walk today and I getted to ride my scooter. I getted to play with my friend Destiny and I think you know her, but I'm not sure.

I played with Sister Chevalier today. I played playdough, read a book, tea and restaurant. I had so much fun today. She was learning Kindergarten roles for Kindergarten.

[Dad's Note: Sister Chevalier is a girl in our ward who was doing a study for her college class. She played with Sami for 4 1/2 hours today as part of that study!

She was surprised to find that Sami already knew how to ride her bike and commented that riding a bike is something that an 8 year old can do. She was also surprised to find out how tall Sami was and commented that 8 year olds are that tall.

Then Sami surmised, "Maybe I'm 8."

Sami made up the word "fnice" which is a combination of fun and nice.]

I Went to the Mountains Today, Saw Deer

It's stinky today because of my brother's stinky diaper.  Griffin was so, so stinky today.

We went in the mountains tonight. I see a pretty picture on my daddy's computer.  It has a yellow lake.

I always paint my nails all by myself.  I love Bridger and I love two boys, which is a boy across the street named Miles.  I'll always love you in my heart, Bridger.

I saw some baby deer and it was so awesome that I totally freaked out. My Mom Heather said ''Look at the deer jumping!'"

You should've been my uncle, Brother Bear.  (I said that to Bridger's Dad.}

I learned my address.  It's 123 B 456 A.  This many letters!

[Dad's Note: Sami was all over the map tonight with her post.  Can you tell?  You can see more pictures that Sami likes by visiting this page.]

I Went Camping and Rided Behind a Bike

Tonight's comment to Bridger: I'm glad you posted on my blog today because I'm really happy that you got that dinosaur for your birthday.  I'm really, really glad that you got your cake and had fun with it.

We camped today and it was fun.  I had a bloody nose.  It's gone now.  I know Juan had one when he was in Grandma's house.  He was like walking around and I was like, "Ew, what do you have in your nose?"  I was like, "I'm never going to have a bloody nose."  But now I have one, too.

I wanted to eat dinner in our tent.  Not outside, but in our tent.  That would be relaxin'.  I played with my friend Jaylee.  She's my cousin and I love her so much that I could barely kiss her.  She just likes to play with me when she's not tired.

I went fishing and I didn't catch a fish.  [Dad: That's not true]  There was only a fish on my hook and it wasn't on there really good so it got away.  There was a fish on my pole and then it just went away.  It was pulling on my pole and then it just swam away.  It wasn't on there good.  But I caught a fish a different day.  We were going to eat the fish.

Griffin fell in the water and it was so cracky up.  It was cracking me up!  On the way home he was making funny faces and it made me crack up.  We had a little shake and I had a cookie dough one and it was really yummy.  Have you ever had a cookie dough one?

My Uncle Rich, his name's Rich but his other name is Rich-ard, I rided in a little thing on the back of his bike.  Now I'm reading a monkey book.  The little baby monkey is looking for food; like peaches and pancakes and pizza.

I Am The Dinosaur Boy

[Tonight Sami's friend Bridger is guest-blogging for Sami.]

This one is for the butterflies. Every single one. I love butterflies- even though they're kind of girly.

My name is Bridger. I am the dinosaur boy and I'm here with my crazy dadda. I was worried I would have to do Sami's blog girly-wirly, but mom said I don't have to do it girly-wirly when I talk to Sami's world. This is weird- everything is still pink. I thought it would turn green when I writed on it.

I was at the park today and I heard the ice cream man coming. I got a dollar and runned and runned and it never stopped, so I runned down the street and it finally stopped. I ran 825 far! I already had the shark ice cream before so I got a color one that pushes up.

[Bridger's little brother Weston chymes in] I like a move it, move it. I like a move it, move it. I like a move it, move it. I like a...MOVE IT!

[Dad's Note: Bridger acutally ended up running about half a mile after the ice cream truck. We were in a park and the truck was just passing by on a non-residential street. Bridger grabbed a dollar from his mom and took off faster than I've ever seen him run before. I chased after him and we both ran after the truck. When it finally stopped, the ice cream man said "At first I thought you two were just out for a run. Then I noticed he (Bridger) had no shoes on." He let Bridger choose anything on the menu and he gave me a bottle of water on the house.]

UPDATE: Yep. Still pink.

My Last Dance Performance Was Tonight

Sami at her last dance performance Guess what?  Bridger is guest blogging for me.  He's really nice to do it.  He's my best friend that loves dinosaurs.  I love dinosaurs...a little tiny bit.  But I don't really love dinosaurs.

I had my last dance performance.  I did a really, really good job.  I was smiling the whole time and I just wanted to smile 'cause it was so funny with people staring at me, so I just smiled.  I knew everybody would say "a good job" to me.  I love them all.

I Goed to the Doctor and Bridger's

I went to my doctor's appointment today.  I got some shots and they listened to my ears.  I covered one eye and then the other.  Then it kind of hurt because I got some blood taken out on my finger.

I went to my friend Bridger's house.  It was his birthday today and I said Happy Birthday.  I got him a light-up bug sucker that had a bear on it.  The bear lights up when you push this little button.

Griffin's Note: I goed to Da-goon and goed on the train.  I played with Weston.  Guess what?  Bridger spun me around with the swing and I fell outside.  Did you hear me that I cried?

[Dad's Note:  Da-goon=Lagoon, an amusement park in Farmington, Utah.]

I'm Going to Kindergarten

I went to get a new barbie. She's from Princess and the Pauper. She's a new doll from my next store neighbor. She's really pretty and has a pink dress. She's so cute and so pretty. I'm going to sleep with her tonight.

I know Bridger loves long necks and I know your favorite is a T-Rex, but I wanted to talk about Barbies.

I'm going to Kindergarten and my Grandma is going to send me a little message and her name is Grandma Lee Slack and she live far far away in Texas. you can't drive there because you'll run out of gas. It's farther than the desert. She's sending me a message on my first day of Kindergarten. It's going to be so, so fun. I can't wait. It's only a few days away.

I said to this girl, "I'm going to kindergarten"

And she said "You are? It's really fun here, did you know that?"

And I said "no."

Then she said "It's really cool here."

I said, "How fun is it?"

She said, "There's lots of books here and stuff."

I can't wait. I'm going to check the mailbox everday for the message that my Grandma Lee is going to give me in the mail.

I Goed to the Fair Today

I can't wait until I write on Bridger's Mystery Blog. I'm writing on it tomorrow because it's a guest blog.

I goed to the Fair today and and we goed on fishies and apples and a roller coaster. It was so, so fun. We were going to go on a slide but we didn't because I wanted to go on the apple because it was faster. I only like fast things. I rode on the ponies, too. It was so, so fun.

Griffin's Note: I goed to the movie theater and seed cows and birds. I goed to the restaraunt and be good. I go home and go to bed and seed Sami's blog. I want to see Bridger's and that's all I want to say.

[Dad's Note: The "Mystery Blog" is actually guest blog. She got it right in the second sentence. Bridger asked her to guest blog on www.thedinosaurboy.com tomorrow night because he won't be around to post. She's thrilled.

Griffin talked about the movies. We saw "Barnyard: The Original Party Animals". They liked it, especially the cow and boy tipping parts.]

I'm Going to Drill Team and I'm Cold

I'm going to my drill team tomorrow. I'm going to eat a really good dinner and a special breakfast. I'm going to the mall to do my special dance on the stage. I'm doing it on the stage, but not in the parade and that will be my last drill team. I can't wait until I go to drill team.

And I'm cold.

I Goed Camping and Fishing and I Loved Going to the Zoo

I goed to the zoo today with my friend and his name was Griffin. We had lots of fun and they had a dog named Ozzie. It was so fun that we goed to the zoo. They came to our house today and I forgot it was Sunday. Then we took a little nap. I was worried if they were here already because their church was long or short.

I saw you Bridger, at the zoo. I'll buy you a prince crown when I'm at the store again.

I caught my first fish and it was a dinosaur fish but it's really called a dino. I know it's not a dinorsaur but really a fish. I went camping a little later ago and I love going camping. I sleeped in my tent and then I goed home.

[Dad's Note: We went to the zoo on Saturday with our friend Griffin who's my age. They came to our house for dinner today, Sunday.

Camping was last weekend in the Uintah's with a bunch of friends. The fish she caught was actually called an Albino fish.]

Are you OK at the Hostipal?

I'm sorry Bridger that you threw up blood and that you stayed asleep. You're my best friend and I didn't know that was going to happen. I know you're my best friend. I've had so much fun with you.

Are you doing ok in the hostipal? Does your throat hurt? Are your tonsils out ok? Did they pinch your throat a little?

[Dad's Note: Bridger and his family have been having some bad luck lately. You can read all about it on Bridger's blog, www.thedinosaurboy.com.

I asked Sami if she wanted to post a picture of Bridger on her blog. She chose this one of Bridger and his Dad which was taken at the hospital last week when he got his tonsils out.]

I Know How to Ride My Bike Today

Guess what I did? I rided my bike the whole time. I really didn't need any help, but I needed help getting started. But guess what? I never needed help. I got up one time and you have to get the pedal to go up and then you give a little hard push and then you're going. You can't imagine it because you're going really fast when you're pedaling.

Tuesday, July 11, 2006

I Went to the Library Today

I goed to my drill team. We went to the library (hey, went is the right word...I didn't say goed! Yea!) It was fun going to the library and I got a stamp on my hand and it's going to stay on forever. You wash it off with water, but it could stay on forever if you wanted it to.

I rented a movie and two books and I'm big enough now and I got my own library card. They gave it back, I thought they wouldn't but they did. I was like, "Oh, I'll never come here again."

We played games and I learned to read. We read Fox; F-O-X, fox. M for, what is it called again...I can't remember. Mouse? What is that one that's like that but doesn't have a line?

And, guess what. We played "Go Fish" and "old Maid". You have to get Old Maid but you can't because I switched them around and Mommy got all the ones that were old maid. And then Mommy was the loser and I was the winner. I won Go Fish two times. And I won Crazy Eights two times. Then I losed Old Maid. I won two games. I won all the games and then I losed Old Maid and Mommy won. And guess what? Whoever picked up the cards slowest won, and mommy was the slowest. Well, actually we were both the slowest so we both won.

Knock, knock. Who's there? Richard. Richard who? Richard I telled you a joke but it's really to Bridger but I forgot the word for whatever that dinosaurs called again. What is it called again? Oh, T-Rex. I really didn't forget. Sorry about that Bridger.

[Dad's Note: Titles shot down by Dad include: "I Went to my Scooby Doo Drill Team". I shot it down because she wrote one sentence about drill team. But she did show me all her dances tonight and I'm really sorry that she can't show you all on her blog. She's adorable.]

I'm Talking to the Whole World

I love ponies and I know you don't like ponies because they're too girly for you.

You don't usually know what my aunt and uncle look like, but that's ok because they look kind of like something, but I don't know what it's called. They look like young people that love people. They're nice and I love them. I love them and my whole life and I like to love them.

We're watching the storm and I goed to a parade. I wanted you to come but you didn't come, but my aunts and uncles came. It was fun. I was marching in the parade and doing these drill team stuff.

Bye, bye whole world. Bye, bye friends. Bye, bye Jesus.

AND we saw a circle lightning.

Our Little Camping Spot

I goed to the camping spot today and we were wondering where we should go. We're going to go camping someday. We saw a deer and my dad runned over a mouse. We saw bear footprints. I never seened bear footprints.

When we got home I was kind of sad. Griffin was so happy because he wanted to go to bed, but usually he doesn't want to go to bed.

Windy, Windy Day. Ladder Blowed Away

Last day was a windy day, I mean another day, not last day. Another day was so, so windy that it blowed away the BBQ thing and the ladder fell down and some cows blowed away and then they came back. Isn't that weird?

Mommy grabbed the cows before they blowed away, they didn't really blow away.

[Dad's Note: Sami was confused as to why I was having her look at pictures of flying cows and I couldn't figure out why she would be. It goes right with her post. Turns out that she wasn't talking about cows flying away, rather towels. She thought it was pretty funny that I got confused and insisted on leaving it the way it was with the suggestion that I explain that it was me that was confused and not her.]

My Dad's Awesome, But Silly

Daddy, I was gonna say you're making make-up-believe. I want to say a joke.

Knock knock. Who's there? Mr. Alligator. Mr. Alligator who? Mr. Alligator because he went to school with a dinosaur and then he went home and his mother was his teacher and he broke his head and then he didn't see his mother at home and then he went to school again and then he said "mama" instead of mother.

I want to tell another joke. I know you love dinosaurs, Bridger, so I wanted to tell a dinosaur joke.

Why did the dinosaur have a broken knee? because he never wanted to go to school because he broke his knee all by himself and he wanted to.

Griffin was crying and my dad made him cry more. My dad is awesome, but he's silly. When he tries to cheer people up, he's trying to make them laugh but they cry. So I feel bad because they just cry more.

Sami's Note: We did a video a long time ago. That was when I was two or three, you can call it whatever you want. And we did it to a CD that was long, long ago.

[Dad's Note: Needless to say, I'm now officially embarrassed. Thanks, Sami. I'll remember this.]

Space Aliens and Griffin's Ladybug

I like outerspace and I know you like dinosaurs and outerspace is more fun because you get to see aliens and alien monsters and space lions and everything you want to see. And it's so fun in outerspace. You can't believe it because it's just so fun.

I broke one of my slippers and I'm showing my brother right now.

I would like to go to outerspace.

This monster makes a noise. Click on this. Now click on it. Click on the "this", k daddy.

GRIFFIN: I wuv ladybugs. I wuv that one, daddy. I wuv Sami.

I Took a Picture of my Bleeding Foot

I went to a restaurant today. I ate inchalala. It was fun eating whatever those are called again and I got a bloody foot. A bloody pinky foot. My mom tripped over it and it's a hurt foot. It cut my skin. That was when my babysitter was here.

When I bonked into the wall, this skin was flyin' up. It was up. It broke off, look! Did you know my skin was up when I bonked into the wall? This part of the skin was up, it wasn't down, it was up! That's crazy, huh? It came apart.

Now it doesn't really hurt. When I was thinking about it, it hurt. But it feels like there's an ant crawling through my toe; my pinky toe. It kinda tickles. I'm trying to leave it alone, but it's just red. Whenever I go to sleep it's red. Did you know that? That's really crazy, huh?

I love Bridger, but this isn't all a love story. I just love Bridger and Bridger is my best friend, but Kat isn't. (gasp)

Bridger, I saw you at Macey's too, brother. (Ha, that's a joke!) I know you like dinosaurs so I want to tell a dinosaur joke.

Why did a T-Rex go to school? Because it was a great fan writing but it scribbled. (That's a silly joke, huh. It scribbled its letters! It writed a B like a C.)

[Dad's Note: Normally I would feel bad about posting a picture of a bloody toe (Sami insisted) when the opening sentence talks about eating "enchiladas" at a restaurant, but the restaurant we went to tonight was horrible. The food wasn't so bad, but the service was awful! At this point you're dying to know which restaurant you should no longer patronize...and I'm dying to tell!

La Frontera in Tooele! First and last time we'll ever go there.

We've been to the La Frontera in West Valley before and liked it. Amazing what a little service will do for your impression of a restaurant. Anyway, now I'm stilling my daughter's thunder.

Her toe injury didn't happen at the restaurant, but at home while she was being babysat.]

I Went to Grandma's and it was So Fun

I went to Grandma's house and we were having a party. I had a fun day last day. I love to go to my Grandma's. No kids came.

My nails are growing and now I got an owie on my thumb. My right thumb isn't growing so I bited it off. But the nail was sticking up, so I bited it and it hurt.

I know how to spell no. N-O, no. That's short. I saw someone draw "no", so I was just like, N-O, no. Oh, I got it! So I just shouted it out loud in my heart.

P.S. I have a joke.

Knock, knock. Who's there? Mr. Keys. Mr. Keys who? I have sliver keys!

Bridger, that was a joke!

[Dad's Note: "last day" = yesterday, which makes perfect sense. I don't know why we all don't say last day. We say last week, not yesterweek.]

Bears are Scary and Deers are Nice

I went to the east canyon today and it was so fun. We saw a baby deer and a mommy deer and they were so cute. I didn't see the mommy deer but I saw the baby deer and it was looking for its mom.

Another day I'm going camping.

One time my mom was by a bear outside her tent. And outside her tent was one mama bear and a dada bear and its cubs. The bear was outside looking for a tent to look inside and it was pretty spooky to me. My mom was by a lake.

We came home and now I'm doing my thing. That's all.

[Dad's Note: We did go up a canyon for a picnic tonight, but it was called Settlement Canyon in Tooele, not East Canyon. She says East Canyon because her Grandma and Grandpa have a time-share up there that we go to every year.

The story about Sami's mom and the bear is not made up. We were in the Tetons camping with friends (before Sami was born) and a mama bear and her cubs (no papa bear) crossed Heather when she was standing by the lake.]

Sami Lee Slack's Poster - Exercise

I love to listen to music. I listen to music for now on. I'm listening to music already, but now it's over, but it's starting again.

I had a wonderful time at girls team drill team. I love it. It's fun and we're having a parade. I practice stuff at drill team. We move our arms up and down and it's like exercise.

I love birds. I got a bird stamp today, I mean a rooster stamp. I got it from drill team girl team.

Because I didn't blog because I slept for a little bit and I didn't want to blog. That's all I want to say.

[Dad's Note: "Poster" = post, as in blog post.]

Me and Griffin's Post and My Church Post

I loved church today. I was kinda moving around a lot. Now I'm at home and church was a wonderful time. I'm in my mom's bed making a blog.

I go to church because Jesus wants me to. I like to do that and I would never stop going to church and I like to go to church really much. I love to go to church. I will go to church another day and be really quiet.

Happy Father's Day, Clint. [Is Clint your father?] Happy Uncle Day? Is he an uncle? What is he? I'm just meaning happy father work day. I really mean that you're supposed to write happy work day because work is off.

I love Bridger's writing because I crack up. My daddy just read it to me now.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

[When asked if Griffin would like to say anything:]

Griffin: Yea! Ummm... (Burp) Joseph! [What else?] Mommy. [What else?] Ummm...Sami! [Anything else?] Ummm....you! [Meaning Daddy.]

[Dad's Note: I had the opportunity to see that Sami was "moving around a lot" in primary today because I had to fill in as pianist. She didn't even know I was behind the piano until half way through. It was funny when she realized; you could just see the gears turning in her head, thinking back to the things I might be disappointed with her for.]

I Would Like to See Mermaids Because They Are So Fun (I Know That Already)

I love mermaids. I wish I saw a real one.

Griffin is a naughty boy today. I know how to spell Griffin. I don't know the letters.

Ok, and I love to see mermaids and I'd like to see one. When I get a mermaid dress I will be so excited. My voice is running out. I wish I could see a mermaid every day.

I love motorcycles.

I wish I saw the voice of little mermaid, wouldn't that be cool if I did?

[Dad's Note: Griffin (2 years old) went out front without telling anyone, which is why Sami says he was a naughty boy today.]

My Big Girl Haircut

We went to see these creature fish and so you had to dive under water with a diving glass. You can't really see me.

Now, I'm home making my blog and I like to make my blog with my Dad. And daddy always plays his computer everyday. I love when he does stuff that I love him to do. I love him and he's the best dad I ever had and I don't ever want to trade him for any other dad.

Oh, and we got some dinner.

P.S. (What does PS mean?) I love to do stuff with my mom and my brother. I was just going to sneeze, so write "Ah-chew" Ah-chew starts with "A".

Oh, I played outside. Then we did this. I like to chew on my bracelet because I want it to be pretty. It's getting really old. Oh, "oh" starts with "o".

My hair is too short because my mom cut it this short. And I love to put my bracelet on and I didn't want a haircut today, but my mom said she wanted a haircut for me today. My mom and dad say it looks pretty and cute.

[Dad's Note: The "creature place" was a place out in Grantsville called SeaBase. They have tropical fish in it and it's a place to scuba dive and snorkel. We were out for a drive tonight and I wanted to see where it was, so we drove by it. It was actually closed and I doubt Sami would be able to see anything even if it wasn't closed. So the first paragraph is just one of her stories.

Another story that she told was about how she "didn't want a haircut," because she actually did want a haircut. She does think it's too short, however, and that's the truth! I love it though.]

My Little Brother is Kinda Crazy, But I Love Him the Way He Is

First I want to say, I love Griffin and he played with me in the back yard. I love him, but he's kind of naughty. I love him with all my heart and he's my own little brother and nobody can take him from my sweet, sweet arms. And no one can take him from his brain and his heart. He's my little brother that I love. And I love to play outside with him, but sometimes I say no, but sometimes I say yes. But on Sunday I can't really go outside. But, when it's Monday and Tuesday and Wednesdays my Dad lets me eat (he always let me eat) but sometimes when he's taking care of me he doesn't feed me a lot because he only plays his guitar and he plays the piano.

[Dad's Note: Sometimes Sami tells stories, like the part about how I don't feed her a lot. We just finished eating dinner. Tonights post was actually one long, big, gigantic, run-on sentence. I forced the commmas and periods but still couldn't manage a new paragraph out of it. Sami is a cutie and she really does love her brother Griffin.]

Me and Destiny are Polly Pockets

Me and Destiny played princess and we played and we listened to Princess and the pauper. I love her and I love to play with her. We played Barbies together and then we played Polly Pocket. I love to play Polly Pocket with Destiny and Jaylee.

Polly Pockets are dollies. You might lose them because they're so small that you couldn't see them. But, if you drop them on the grass, you could see them. But if you can't find them, they might be lost because your brother took them.

Me and Destiny painted our nails together. Then she had to leave in a minute. Then she left. Then I played with Logan, Miles and Kat. You could call her kitten, I mean Katiana, or Kat. Kat-teee-ana, Kat!

That's all I want to say.

[Dad's Note: Destiny is Sami's friend from Primary. Jaylee is Sami's cousin mentioned in a previous post. Kat is an older friend (7) that live a couple houses down. Polly Pockets, as I learned for the first time tonight, are little plastic dolls.]

My Toy Lizard

I love to play with my toy lizard and I love to put it on my knee. I love to swing it around with it's tail, and stretch it's head out. It can stretch out, just like Bridger's dinosaur stretchy. you can make it do whatever you want it to do.

It CAN'T do whatever I want it to, it can just do whatever I WANT it to.

I can put it on the ground and get it wet and then it sticks. If it gets dirty it won't stick anymore. And I love to love it because it's my favorite toy, because Griffin took it before. I love to play with it with my dolls and I love to play with it in my doll house. I love to jiggle it around and smoosh it in my hand so Griffin can't see it. I love to pretend it's a yo-yo; a lizard yo-yo!

Move Away Bunny, Because My Dad is Coming Through the Road

You can't run over rabbits, because if you do run over bunny rabbits we won't have any food for bunnies. And we won't be able to eat the bunnies. That's why you can't run over bunnies.

Jesus made the bunnies because Grandma Lee loves bunnies. She loves princesses, too. (Bridger doesn't know who Grandma Lee is, huh?)

What if those yellow lines were bunnies and you were running over them? (Then I was just staring out the window because I was looking at the white lines.)

Ah, my ankles hurt. Maybe they hurt because I need to go potty. But I can't bring these toys in the potty, huh? I have gas!

[Dad's Note: We went to a little known lake south of Tooele tonight for Family Home Evening and the rabbits were running around in droves! I was joking that they needed to kill some and I commented, "I doubt they'd mind if I hit a few of these bunnies." At that point Sami proceeded to chew me out for joking about killing the rabbits. That's what she chose to blog about tonight.]

Motorcycle Tricks

I had fun at that motorcycle place and you have to go out of Tooele. I goed there with my family. Then I put a wood deep in my finger.

We goed to those motorcycles that went up these slides and did tricks on the dirt, and then we goed to the race. We rode on a truck and it taked us to a race.

My mom was trying to get the wood out and it hurt.

[Dad's Note: The motorcycle place she refers to is the new Miller Motorsports Park just outside of Tooele at Desert Peak. The wood that was deep in her finger was a tiny sliver. Her mom forced Sami to let her get it out today since it was starting to fester. The truck that took us to a race was a "people mover" that towed trailers that you could sit in to get to the different stadium locations.]

"Cars" Review

I went to the movie to go to see "Cars" with my family.

This race car was in a truck and it was the race queen. And then this little toy car, it pushed the button to take out the car and it rolled out of the truck. And then the race car was looking for the truck and then he went to this police car and then it went to this funny car and it was a hanger car.

They were having a big, big race. The red car won! Sometimes he was behind, but he was the fastest car, but he didn't have a horn. And he didn't have mirrors on the back of him. Because he couldn't go backwards because he couldn't see where he was going, but at the end he could.

Griffin: I want to talk about cars! I like to play. The car loves the girl.

[Dad's Note: The race cars name is Lightning McQueen which explains her reference to the "race queen". The funny "hanger car" was the old tow truck. She said that she wanted to name this post "'Cars' Preview." I insisted on the current title to which she agreed.

When asked which picture she would like to post she wanted a picture of Sally, which is kind of funny since she didn't even mention her. Griffin did, though. :D]

Rosa Belle

[This morning we read Bridger's Dinosaur Blog and discovered that it was dedicated to Sami. So Sami wanted to dedicate her post to her cousin Jaylee, which is what she means when she says:]

I want to send it to Jaylee.

[I then explained that when she "writes" her posts, she should avoid starting her sentences with "Daddy" because she is writing to the whole world. She then clarified and emphasized:]

My heart is talking to the whole world.

I like about princesses and I like to hug them in my heart. I love princesses.

Does Jason have a laptop? [I explained that he has a computer to which she exclaimed, "Woohoo!" She wanted to make sure Jaylee was going to be able to read this.]

I like about princesses, that they give me kisses on the lips. Girls kissing girls, like me and mommy do.

That's all the things I like about princesses.

Oh yeah. My favorite princesses are Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine...and Belle.

[Dad's Note: I'm always correcting her on her speech (that's what parents are supposed to do...teach their children.) so it's been very hard to leave some of the grammar unedited. When I read it back to her I let her know that she can make changes. I suggested that what she means when she says, "I like about..." is really "What I like about..." and asked her if she wanted me to change it. She said, "No" and shrugged her shoulders as if to say 'like it matters'.

When I asked her what she would like the title of this post to be I suggested the title "What I Like about Princesses". She didn't like it and said that the post should be entitled "Rosa Belle"]

Sami's First Story

When asked what she would "write" about if she had her own blog:

I'd talk about bugs and stuff like that, and insects.

Griffin, do you want to talk about froggies?

Griffin: Yeah, I want to talk about sharks.

And Daddy, in it, I want to talk about bugs and insects and about how they crawl on you like that. And I want to draw a picture of them.

Daddy, what does all that say?

Daddy? Um, after this can I draw a picture of them...please. Are you writing down what you say, too? (I'm not.)

Oh, ok. You just write down what me and Griffin say. Griffin! Talk about insects and stuff!

Dad, if you were a bug I would smoosh you like an ant.

I read about bugs, that red ants bite and they carry food. One time when I was at my dad's work I saw a red ant carrying a stick and my friend took it out of it's mouth. Really. That really happened.

The pizza is beeping now. Let's go Dad, the pizza!

[Dad's Note: We went downstairs and ate lunch together (the beeping was the microwave timer for the pizza that was cooking in the oven) and whilst eating lunch I further discussed Sami's blog with her. I let her know that she didn't have to write about what Bridger wrote about and that she could write about anything that was of interest to her. Her response was, "I knew that." Then she took a drink of her lemonade and made a slurping sound. She said, "Oops, I'm not supposed to slurp. I forgot." Then she started into this big story about a pig and about how they slurp, but they do that because they have big throats and it's ok. I told her, "See, that could be a blog posting." Her response was, "I knew that." When asked what she would like to name her blog she suggested the following: Sami's Blog Utah or Rosa (which she informed me means "rose"). I suggested "Sami Lee Stories" and she really liked that. She chose a template that she liked which just happened to be called "Thisaway Rose", so that will fulfill the rose requirement.

It should be noted that the blog idea came from her friend Bridger who has his own blog which his dad writes on his behalf. The format thus far is copied from his blog, except that my "Dad's Notes" seem to be a bit more verbose.]
